McMaster Health Science: Black Student Information Session

The BBA is excited to invite you to our annual High School Information Session! We will be hosting a TWO DAY Event.

The McMaster Honours Health Sciences

Program works to challenge the way students think and perceive the world around them, evaluate their impact on the many communities that they inhabit, and apply it to the broader context of healthcare.

The Black BHSc Association was founded in 2020, followed by the creation of the Equitable Admissions Stream for Black Applicants (EABA).

The goal is to make the admissions process more equitable regarding the Black-identifying students entering and throughout the entirety of their BHSc program experience.

This year, the BBA is hosting an IN-PERSON Health Sciences Information Night. In previous years, you may have heard of EABA Night, a virtual version of this event. However, this year, we will be having prospective Black BHSc students learn more about the application process, hear from current students about their experiences, and have several opportunities to ask them any questions they may have. This event will have upper-year BHSc students, BHSc alumni, financial representatives, and an opportunity for Q&A from Faculty from the Health Sciences Honours Program.

To ensure the event is accessible to all students, Day 1 will be held in person at McMaster University, while Day 2 will take place virtually via Zoom. Day 1 will offer more opportunities for in-person networking and connecting with other students, whereas Day 2 will be a more structured information session. You can register for both days or choose the day that works best for you!
