Konflikt 47 launches on the 27th of September! Come grab the new edition, build some models, and get your Call to Arms models started!
We will be kicking off the new release of Konflikt ’47 with a Call to Arms! We know it’s been a long time coming, and we’re excited to bring back this exciting event. Call to Arms has evolved a lot over the years, and this one is no exception. We hope to kickstart this new community for Konflikt, get you finished painting an army, and help encourage everyone to get out to BKG to engage with the community in meaningful ways. We’re sure you have a lot of questions – so let’s get into it.
What is a Call to Arms?
This is a staple BKG event that’s been run in a variety of ways over the years. We invite everyone in our community to build a new army for a specific game at the same time and share their experience with each other. There will be a goal for army size, and most importantly, a deadline by which to finish the army. Those who do finish usually get a prize, whether it’s store credit or sometimes exclusive BKG accessories.
This Call to Arms will have a heavy focus on challenges and events throughout to get folks involved with the community. Prizes will be given out to participants for completing various challenges throughout the entire process.
In addition to having regular events for Konflikt, we’ll also be adding a weekly game night to the calendar as soon as the new edition releases, so every Wednesday night will be a time when folks can get together and play.
What is Konflikt ’47?
Konflikt ’47 is best described as a “wyrd world war” game, set in an alternative history version of World War 2. In this setting, the war doesn’t end in 1945, and things get really weird, featuring giant mechs, werewolf supersoldiers and ghouls galore.
It’s a game of heroes and villains on all sides. Everyone only has one goal – survive at all costs. It’s aimed to be fast paced and cinematic, with decisions made on the tabletop driving an overall narrative that documents a savage war. No two games are ever the same, and the outcome is never guaranteed.
The gameplay is an expanded ruleset of Bolt Action, which happens to also mean that the entire Bolt Action range is also available to use in Konflikt ’47! So if you’re a Bolt Action veteran, this is a great opportunity to build out a new army and get back into the swing of it.
Alright, I’m interested, how do I join?
There’s a couple of options here!
Purchase any Konflikt ’47 or Bolt Action starter set between now and the end of the Call to Arms Event (this includes splitting the two player starter set with a friend!)
Purchasing $200 or more (before taxes) of any Konflikt ’47 or Bolt Action products (this includes special orders)
Whether you’re looking to grab a preorder of the new edition, or grab some of the existing Bolt Action range to kick off your army, it all counts towards getting you into the Call to Arms.
Models used towards your Call to Arms must be unpainted at our start date, but don’t have to be purchased specifically for the event – so if you have some unpainted models already for either Bolt Action or Konflikt, you can absolutely use those!
After you’ve got your models, pay attention to the konflikt-47 channel for your Call to Arms assignments!
Okay… but what’s in it for me?
By joining the Call to Arms event, you will receive discounted entry fees on all Konflikt ’47 events throughout the duration of Call to Arms.
In addition, completing the assignments posted in the Discord by the deadlines will give you an opportunity to earn prizes, and will include special assignments for missions, painting and more on a regular basis.
Special assignments could include things like painting your platoon commander or a specific squad type to completion, or accomplishing a specific task in a game. Completing these assignments will earn you store credit – and you can complete as many of them as are available throughout the whole event!
We’ll also have recommended missions to play for each Wednesday night. We’ll collect regular progress reports from participants to share their efforts on their projects with our community. As an added bonus, we’ll be working on some custom Konflikt ’47 terrain for folks to game on!
Anyone who completes their 1000 point Call to Arms force will also earn themselves a pair of custom, laser engraved dog tags to commemorate their achievement!
