Introduction to Beekeeping Class
Curious about keeping bees but not sure where to start?
This introductory beekeeping course is designed for beginners who want a practical, approachable overview of honey bee biology and hive management.

You will learn about:

the role of bees in the ecosystem and basic bee behavior
basic equipment and tools
Langstroth hive setup
seasonal care
common challenges faced by new beekeepers.
Q &A
The course also covers safety, local regulations, and ethical beekeeping practices.

By the end of the class, participants will have a solid foundation to decide if beekeeping is right for them and the confidence to take their first steps as a beekeeper.

This class takes place at Humble Bee: 601 Burlington Street East, Hamilton
Saturday March 21 from Noon until 2pm
