Part one of our Intro to Lindy Hop beginner class series. Join us and learn the basics of partnered swing dancing!
This is a 6-week class series for complete beginners, or dancers wanting to brush up on their basics, learn to teach, or explore the opposite role!
By the end of this class series, you will be familiar with the basic building blocks that all Lindy Hop moves are built on, the pulse and rhythm of swing music and dancing, and some of the most common moves and variations used in Lindy Hop, culminating in the swingout. We will build fundamental dance technique from the ground up, providing the skills to get you comfortable on the dance floor as quickly as possible.
Classes are Tuesdays from 7:45 - 9:15 at Regent Health Centre on Locke St, running Tuesday Sept 9th to Tuesday October 14th.
No partner is required, we will switch frequently throughout class!
Bring comfortable indoor shoes, and plenty of water!
