Join us for a relaxed ABA group catch-up with Speech pathologist, Jami.
Focusing on feeding and the sensory and motor skills that support mealtimes—from the introduction of solids through toddlerhood and beyond. We’ll explore how little ones learn through texture, movement, and play, and how posture, coordination, and oral motor development support safe and successful eating.
We’ll also chat about the difference between gagging and choking, and how to create positive, low-pressure mealtime experiences—whether you’re offering purées, finger foods, or a mix of both. No pressure, just practical tips and support to suit your unique family.
We will meet in the Ted Kenna Room at the Hamilton Performing Arts Centre - 113 Brown Street, Hamilton.
As always, there’ll be a cuppa, casual chat and playtime for the little ones. Bring your breastfeeding questions – a Breastfeeding Counsellor will be there if you want to chat!
ABA welcomes everyone – mums, dads, expectant parents, support people and health professionals. Whether you are breastfeeding or not, you are welcome.
Come as you are – even if that is in your pyjamas.
Please note: if you or your little ones are feeling under the weather - rest up and join us next time!
