Creativa July, w. feature poet Etha Walters

We offer a monthly open mic night, featuring all the arts. No cover, ever. Doors swing open at 7:00 p.m. and performances start at 7:30 p.m. Sign up early for any sort of art you want to perform! 5 or 10 minute slots are available. We have hosted poets, jugglers, musicians, comedians, performance artists, filmmakers, belly dancers, and many more. We are excited to announce that our featured artist of the month is Etha Walters.

Etha Walters is a poet living with spastic quadriplegic cerebral palsy. Her work explores healing, resilience, and the rich complexity of life with disability. She is the author of two poetry collections—Through the Cellar Door and Echoes Through Corridors: Silence in Rooms. Etha is also the host of the upcoming podcast Disability Uncomplicated, where she invites listeners to reimagine what it means to live a rich and juicy life with a disability.

So, tell a buddy, bring a friend, invite a random stranger. Creativa is where art lives and is free.
