Climate Café - Green Venture x CoWork at the Cotton Factory

We are excited to announce Green Venture's fourth Climate Café, presented in collaboration with CoWork at the Cotton Factory!

The climate crisis doesn’t just impact our environment - it affects our communities, our emotions, and the ways we live and work together.

Join us on January 28 from 6:30–8:30PM at CoWork at the Cotton Factory in Hamilton for a Climate Café — a space to connect, reflect, and build resilience in the face of climate change.

At this free, community-led event, we’ll explore how climate change is showing up in our lives and in Hamilton, share perspectives and emotions, and learn more about what’s happening in the city. We'll also enjoy some snacks, and wrap up with some reflections from our guest speaker.

Alexia Da Poupada, Green Venture's Rain Ready Program lead, will be joining us to share the importance of rain, how it can be used as a resource on your property, and the ripple effect capturing rain on your property can provide! The Rain Ready rebate offers homeowners up to $5,000 to implement low impact development features like rain gardens and permeable surfaces on their property to slow, capture, and infiltrate rainwater on their property. Learn about the program and what you can do on your property to start using rain as a beneficial resource!

Climate Cafés are informal, welcoming gatherings designed to foster open dialogue, emotional connection, and a sense of community. Whether you're feeling anxious about the future, inspired to take action, or just curious to learn from others, this is a space for open, supportive, and meaningful conversations. No prior knowledge is needed - just bring your thoughts, questions, and a willingness to listen and engage.
