Bites & Insights: Fall prevention and maintaining mobility

Falls are one of the most common causes of injury among older adults and can greatly impact your health and ability to maintain independence as you age. For those hoping to age in place, understanding how to reduce fall risk is essential.

On November 27 at the Central Library Branch, Hamilton Public Library, join Dr. Marla Beauchamp, physical therapist and Director of the MIRA | Dixon Hall Centre. An Associate Professor in McMaster’s School of Rehabilitation Sciences and Associate Member in the Department of Medicine, her research focuses on helping older adult stay mobile and healthy in their homes and communities.
