Join me for a hands-on, creativity-packed 3-day art intensive, perfect for beginners and art lovers alike! We’ll explore concept building, sketching, and drawing, then dive into acrylic painting techniques to bring your unique masterpieces to life. Each day is filled with fun, from group activities to immersive workshops, all in a relaxed and inspiring studio setting.

Guided by Expressive Figurative artist Karen Klucowicz, this experience is designed to feed your creative soul and spark new artistic adventures. Held in my studio at The Cotton Factory, a dynamic hub for artists, you’ll also enjoy an exclusive Factory tour—meet fellow creatives, soak in the inspiration, and explore current exhibitions.

LOCATION: My studio is at The Cotton Factory in Hamilton, Ontario. NOTE: There are many entrances to this complex so make sure your gps is directed to the Dyeworks Studio at 9 Landsdowne Avenue! Plenty of street parking and a lot at the back of the Factory [free].

Info: Intro to Karen Klucowicz, her work and the Dyeworks studio. Drawing workshop. Short coffee breaks, 1hr lunch period. Exhibition tour of Cotton Factory. Concept process and paint materials & techniques. Painting exercises.

Info: Morning - concept development, technique demonstrations, first painting begins. Coffee breaks, lunch hour (optional participation: neighbour's studio jam session 12:30 to 1pm). Colour and substrate exploration exercises, one-on-one critiques, and painting continues.

Info: Morning: Continuing with first painting and launching a second. Visiting artist, and studio visit within Factory. Coffee breaks and lunch hour. Afternoon: mixed media exploration, one-on-one critiques, and painting completions (new piece begins for fast painters!). Group exhibition for feedback (optional).
