Die ukrainische Band "ELBA" ist eine Musikgruppe, die in Hamburg von Musiker*innen aus der Ukraine gegründet wurde, von denen die meisten aufgrund des Krieges nach Deutschland gezogen sind.
Die Band experimentiert mit verschiedenen Stilrichtungen und verbindet Pop-Rock, Pop-Folk und Rap-Pop. Das Markenzeichen ihres Sounds ist der mehrstimmige Gesang, der sich harmonisch mit den Melodien von Blasinstrumenten wie Flöte, Saxophon und Piccolo verwebt. Ein besonderes Klanghighlight ist die ukrainische Sopilka, die der modernen Musik eine authentische, folkloristische Note verleiht.
"ELBA" spielt sowohl eigene Songs – auf Ukrainisch sowie teilweise auf Englisch und Deutsch – als auch Coverversionen bekannter ukrainischer und internationaler Hits. Durch kreative, unkonventionelle Arrangements verleihen sie den vertrauten Melodien eine neue, frische Klangfarbe.

The Ukrainian band "ELBA" is a music group founded in Hamburg by musicians from Ukraine, most of whom moved to Germany due to the war.
The band experiments with various styles, blending pop-rock, pop-folk, and rap-pop. Their signature sound is characterized by multi-voiced harmonies that seamlessly intertwine with melodies from wind instruments such as the flute, saxophone, and piccolo. A special highlight of their sound is the Ukrainian sopilka, which adds an authentic, folkloric touch to modern music.
"ELBA" performs both original songs—in Ukrainian, as well as partially in English and German—and cover versions of well-known Ukrainian and international hits. Through creative, unconventional arrangements, they give familiar melodies a fresh, new sound.
