Twisted Teens is a band from New Orleans. Most musicians make you choose betweenrock and roll; Twisted Teens would never do that. Their political platform is religious psychosis; their music opens a door to a new universe by shutting all other doors to all
other possible universes. “Fans of Raw Power-era Stooges, Eastern mysticism, or the punk-to-country pipeline should tuck in” (Atwood Magazine). “Here to put some steel wool type hair on your chest. Gritty, toothy lofi punk with some stoink on it” (Sims
Harden).

Die Twisted Teens kommen aus New Orleans, Louisianna. Ihr selbstbetiteltes Debütalbum erschien im April 2024.

Musikalisch bewegen sich Twisted Teens zwischen Proto-Punk, Post-Punk und Surf-Punk, mit Einflüssen von Link Wray und Roky Erickson. Die Texte enthalten mythologische und spirituelle Referenzen, beispielsweise zum Tao Te Ching, und reflektieren gesellschaftliche Fragen wie mentale Gesundheit und Geschlechterrollen
