Club, it is time for the annual Casting Clinic. But guess what? It's HOT!! Extremely hot!! So the idea of having a Casting Clinic at 5pm does not appeal to many of us. So, we are going to beat the heat, by moving the Casting Clinic to Saturday, August the 9th. Starting at 8am, and ending around 11am. We also want a location closer to where the majority of our members live, that has water near by for additional casting practice, no trees, and better parking. Well, I think we found a park, that meets all of those needs as well.
Our location for the Casting Clinic will be the North Park in Haltom City. Recently renovated, this park is very clean, well manicured for casting, and meets all of our needs. And there is fishing available for those that want to after the Clinic, and Fossil Creek runs along the border of the park, for the creek fanatics!!
Directions from where we regularly meet:
UNT Health Fort Worth to North Park
In addition to using the Fly Casting Skills Development Program, we will focus on roll casting on the water, and casting from different levels. Both of these techniques are critical to creek fishing, and will improve your casting and angling skills.
What should I bring? Dress accordingly. Sun protection. Hydration method of choice. Good casting rod and line. Suggest a 6 weight or more, but not totally necessary.
If you have not been to a previous Casting Clinic, take the time to review the program here:

Hearing from members who have already been working in the program, we feel every member can benefit from these clinics, and the Casting Skills Program. So, please join us, and take your casting and angling to another level.
Address is 5200 Denton Highway, Haltom City, Texas
