When you hear the beats, rhythms and lyrics in music, how do you respond? In this class, we’ll work on our musicality as WCS dancers.
Michael and Jill will lead this three-week session to learn about dancing to what a song offers, whether fast or slow, lyrical or blues. Learn interesting strategies for all levels of dancers.
Nov 23, 30, Dec 7th. St. Andrews Centre. 6:45-8:15. $55. Includes practices before each class from 6:15-6:45 (crossover with Basic class). Instructors available for feedback. See halifaxwcs.ca/classes
Prerequisites:
- Able to dance the basic patterns fluidly though a song (push breaks, side passes, tuck turns, whips)
- Have taken Beginner/Basics , Plus- and Improver-level classes, or equivalent experience in WCS.
