ROLLER SKATING
NAS Roller Skating is happening at YMCA in Halifax. Date is… Saturday 5th July, Time… is 6.00pm – 7.30pm.
To book a place please click the Eventbrite link in the Members Group post and book a place for the child/ young person only. There are 25 places for Skaters. If you are not skating, you do not need a ticket.
If you are autistic age between 8-19 years come and join us. Age is a guide so please ask if your child/young person is outside the age as we will try and accommodate families depending on numbers. Your parent/ carer must attend also and is responsible for you at all times. The session provides an opportunity for friendships to form and to have a social night out. We hope to have a YMCA skater on hand, to offer advice and tips on how to skate for anyone who needs it.
A £3 donation per person skating is suggested but not essential. Donations help support the sustainability of our sessions.
Refreshments will be provided but will be limited to fruit juice, crisps, chocolate/biscuits, tea/coffee. Please feel free to bring drinks and snacks of your choice with you. We will have sole use of the skating hall and the café/kitchen area.

The Calderdale Branch is run by volunteers and provides support/ activities to families affected by autism. We receive no income from National Autistic Society, everything is funded through fundraising/ donations. We provide activity groups for children plus a support network for parents/carers and autistic adults. Our groups provide a safe environment for children, young people, parents/ carers. Volunteers are also involved with statutory organisations as the voice of branch members. Autism is potentially an isolating condition for the whole family. Our groups provide opportunities for friendships and fun, there is always a sense of belonging, something many struggle to achieve.
If you register a place and can then no longer attend this event please either cancel through Eventbrite or send us an email so that we can offer the place to someone else.
