A day long extended reflection and meditative sound journey including a cacao ceremony with a diverse array of practitioners featuring Aisha Vaughan.
Following our improvised event at Natural Endings last November we are continuing the sonic drone journey through a transcendental gathering of 12 hours, moving from day into night including new practitioners at our summer meeting in Sowerby Bridge.
Admission to the gathering will include a serving of cacao and a ceremony for all, with a celestial sound journey into heavenly realms with Our Sacred Sun.
Aisha Vaughan will play an individual set and a diverse collection of musicians and sound practitioners will continue the tone blending into a pool of collective improvised frequencies.
Cymatic lighting from Mark & adam will blend local videos and harmonic vibrations showcasing the beauty of Calderdale, illuminating the dramatic temple and the roof of the building.
To close the ceremony our friend, NTS radio host, AHRKH, will bring in a period of reflection and allow is to communicate on the journey we have been upon with an ambient DJ set.
Soul Wellness’s in-house facilities include a cafe, sauna, whirl pool, amethyst room and more if you care to indulge.

Aisha writes and records her music to red kites and eagles hunting in the mountains outside her windows. Layers of ASMR sound design and production supplement the main instrument - her voice - woven within campfire crackle, wind chime, cricket, bird, harp, flute, synthesizer pad conjured from her remote homeland. Recently releasing ‘the Gate’ on LA label ‘Leaving Records’ we are honoured to have her travel to Calderdale.

A Cacao facilitating and sound healing duo, guiding self-enquiry and exploration of liminal spaces through the art of sacred ceremony and sound journeying. Participants are invited to reflect on their intentions for the ceremony. This could be something they wish to heal, an area of personal growth they'd like to focus on, or simply a desire to deepen their connection to the present moment.

Laurel’s amazing vocal talents and harmonic healing will bring her light singing techniques and performance to the day. Our up coming release, along with Yorkshire Modular Society was recorded at our last event at Natural Endings and at the Pond in Hebden and again she will provide her trademark sound to her friends at Soul Wellness. Inspired by ancient traditions of grief, folk culture, and psychedelia, exploring the emotional expression of sound as a portal to other states of consciousness. Beyond logic and reason, into the depths of the intangible, formless and vulnerable.

Alex Macarte of celestial label, Golden Ratio Frequencies, Gnod, and NTS radio will be closing the day with an ambient DJ set. A seasoned multi-instrumentalist and sound therapist, his audio creations bring together acoustic and electronic sources with healing and transcendental experiences.

Alison combines her unique vocal style with both acoustic (guitar, flute, piano, recorder, harmonium) and electronic instruments (analogue synthesisers, FX units, and samples). She has performed with resonance at various events including our previous Drone Bath and Natural Endings and at the Portico Library in Manchester.

Harry Wheeler is a multi-talented filmmaker, musician and sound bath therapist who specialises in the healing and meditative qualities of sound and music and their intersection within holistic practice. He also works with dreams and dream inspired moving images and runs a label and channel ‘Harmonic Rooms’ that showcases similar practitioners.

Improviser, composer, and composer for improvisers, Daniel is an all-round experimental musician. He is a multi-instrumentalist who creates sound effects, music for animations and installations, automated music software and accompanies everything from dance classes and film, to experimental music nights as well as solo performances.
Accompanying the music we will explore the cymatic element of the sounds with Mark Wagner mystic and cymaticist who will project the fractals together with adam. Audience members are free to join and leave as they wish or to stay for the whole journey ❤️
