Prelude to Revolution: Halifax Resolves Days

Celebrate the 250th anniversary of the Halifax Resolves, the first official action by an entire colony recommending independence from Great Britain. On Friday and Saturday, enjoy two days of living-history activities, historic weapons demonstrations, military drills, and interact with characters from Halifax’s past. Guest speakers will also give presentations on various topics. On Sunday, the living-history activities will continue. In the afternoon, the NC Society Sons of the American Revolution will host their annual wreath-laying ceremony, and the Historical Halifax Restoration Association will host the annual Halifax Day ceremony, followed by a reception.
