MUSHKAT LIVE AT TRIDENT!

Bill Travis (AKA Mushkat) is returning to Trident for a third intimate acoustic solo show, with a surprise special guest or two!! In addition to some interesting covers you don't hear everywhere else, Bill plays his own style of introspective folk-pop songs, having release two new albums in the past year, with influences like Peter Gabriel, Kings of Convenience, REM, Lou Barlow, Neil Young, David Bowie, Camaron de la Isla and Robert Pollard. He has fronted the groups Sausage, Poplar Mechanics and The Hot Cats in Kingston, Ontario, as well as Smooch, The Mary Bean, Mushkat, Duro Y Oscuro (flamenco) and The No Hitters (a Guided by Voices cover band) in Halifax. He writes and sings in three languages (English, French and Spanish), and his voice has been compared to Paul Simon and Ben Lee. Over the past few decades, he has shared stages with Erin Costelo, Al Tuck, Bend the River, Christina Martin, Jon McKiel, Justin Byrd, The Mahones and many more. PWYC ($10 suggested donation)
