Born to working-class Afro-Caribbean parents in Markham, Gavin brings sharp wit and a philosophical lens to the stage, exploring identity, class, and systemic inequity with humor that’s both thought-provoking and hilarious. His style blends big ideas with everyman relatability, making audiences laugh while leaving them with something to think about.
Gavin’s credits include Montreal’s Just for Laughs, Austin’s SXSW, and a nod from the E! Network as one of the “10 Funniest Canadians.” He’s a winner of NOW Magazine’s “Best Local Stand-up Comic” award, and his most recent comedy album, All Inclusive Coma, earned a Juno Award nomination. You may also know him as the co-host of the comedic leftist podcast Uncolonized.
When he’s not on stage, Gavin is knitting, cheering on the Raptors, or diving deep into his love for cartoons, comics, and indie wrestling.
