Do you have extra cosplay supplies lying around? Costumes, props, wigs, bits and bobs that you aren't going to use but are too good to throw out?
Clear out your supply cabinet and/or stock up for your Hal-Con build, Halloween costume or any other situation where you'd want to be in costume!
Members of the Halifax Cosplay Collective will be on-hand to answer your construction questions.
Bring pieces you're working on for advice as well!
You don't need to stay for the whole three hours. Feel free to come for a short time, see what there is to trade or give away, and then be on your way to enjoy the rest of your day.
Things to bring:
Fabric, worbla/thermoplastics, and foam scrap pieces (please make sure they are at least a few inches large. It's unlikely anyone will want your thin strips of EVA or fabric!)
Other construction material
Sewing notions
Glue and paint
Props (see below for types of admissible props)
Makeup (for open makeup not in tubes, please sanitize it with rubbing alcohol! No eyeliner unless unopened.)
Sewing patterns
Tools of various kinds
Costumes and costume accessories
EL wire and LEDs
Wigs and hair accessories
*This is not an exhaustive list. If you think a cosplayer could find a use for it, bring it along!
Rules:
No selling! Everything you bring must be given away or traded.
Take out what you bring in. Be kind and don't make us dispose of your unwanted treasures! Anything that doesn't get given away or traded must be removed by the end of the event.
No realistic looking prop weapons. NERF guns, foam swords or other unrealistic weaponry are fine.
No metal props. Nothing that wouldn't be admitted to a convention should be brought to trade or give away.
No contacts, even if sealed.

Drag/burlesque performers, theatre people and other kinds of performers are all more than welcome!
