Join us as we explore the birds of this hidden gem. We will walk 2-3 miles up a dirt road with a mostly gentle incline. Birds we may find include Black Headed Grosbeak, Olive-Sided Flycatcher, Western Flycatcher, Western Wood Pewee, MacGillivray’s Warbler, and many more, making a special effort to learn the songs. Burleigh Murray is approximately 1.6 miles from Highway 1 on Higgins Canyon Road. The entrance will be on the left, and the sign is hidden until you are right there. Note: We will no longer meet at the Johnston House, but you can stop there to use the restroom. There are two portapotties at Burleigh Murray, but they're not in the parking lot.
