ESTEBAN MAXERA TRIO (Argentina) spiller på Vannvogna for tredje gang.
Trio proposes modern jazz with South American influences: powerful, rhythmically complex and full of depth of sound.
The focus is on Argentine bassist and composer Esteban Maxera, whose works constitute the trio's complete repertoire.
His pieces combine South American folk influences with improvisation and contemporary jazz language, far from stylistic clichés.They perform in a challenging lineup without piano or guitar:

The trio regularly tours across Europe. Their performances have taken them to the Venice Jazz Festival, Out Jazz in Lisbon (Portugal), Anagni Jazz Fest (Italy), Cadiz, Paris, Berlin and Oslo, among many other places.
Their concerts are characterized by precision, expression and deep mutual understanding: music that tells a story, that moves, breathes
and surprises.
In this summer tour 2025 they will perform at the Copenhagen Jazz Festival and the Aarhus Jazz Festival (in Denmark), as well as the Arco Azzurro Jazz Festival in Sicily (Italy). The tour also includes concerts in Norway, Germany, Denmark, Italy, Portugal and Spain.
It will also be the 3rd time playing in the beautiful Halden.
