Join the Maryland House & Garden Pilgrimage for a self-guided tour through the scenic landscapes and rich history of Washington County. Nestled between the Mason-Dixon Line and the Potomac River, this region is steeped in stories of early settlement, war, art, and preservation.
This one-day self-guided tour offers exclusive access to private homes, farms, gardens, historic churches, and the Washington County Museum of Fine Arts. Each location showcases the unique architecture, culture, and character of this Appalachian region.
Advance tickets are $41.75 and $45 on the day of the tour. Each guest will receive the 2025 Maryland House & Garden Pilgrimage Tour Guide, featuring details and historical context for every stop.
Proceeds from the Washington County tour will benefit The Heart of the Civil War Heritage Area and its visitor center at the historic Newcomer House. The house, which stood during the Battle of Antietam, is the only site on the battlefield dedicated to interpreting the civilian experience during the war.
