The Rhubarb House 25th Anniversary Celebration

The City of Hagerstown invites you to celebrate a significant milestone! Join us for the 25th anniversary of The Rhubarb House, a cherished culinary cornerstone of Downtown Hagerstown. The anniversary ceremony and light reception will take place on Friday, April 25, 2025, at 4:00 PM at The Rhubarb House, located at 12 Public Square.

This beloved mom-and-pop business, owned by Shellie Ralston, has been a fixture in the heart of downtown for two and a half decades, offering delightful lunch and brunch in a uniquely charming atmosphere. Shellie credits her success to the incredible support of her customers, the Hagerstown community and tri-state area clients.

The journey began approximately 35 years ago with a catering service fueled by Shellie's passion for elegant food presentation and a love for the restaurant industry nurtured during her college years. This passion led to the establishment of her catering business, which eventually blossomed into the iconic Rhubarb House in downtown Hagerstown. Shellie has worked closely with her husband, John, and now their son, along with numerous part-time and seasonal employees, to create this enduring success story.
