ABOUT MATT KAMPE & THE HUB:
🎶 Matt Kampe & The Hub
Matt Kampe is a dynamic multi-instrumentalist, lead vocalist, principal lyricist, and musical director of the genre-blending band Matt Kampe & The Hub, as well as the touring act Jelly. A proud Berklee College of Music graduate, Matt draws creative inspiration from the soulful streets of New Orleans and musical legends like D’Angelo, Stevie Wonder, Jamiroquai, Donny Hathaway, and The Beatles.
With mastery over 14 instruments and two decades of professional gig experience, Matt has taught music to students of all levels—including those with special needs—for over 13 years. His latest EP, To Be Wanted, available on all major platforms, features original tracks entirely composed, arranged, and performed by Matt himself. The group is currently in the studio recording a new album, with a collection of 10 original songs and 4 creative cover mash-ups.
🪘 The Collective Power of the Hub
The band includes powerhouse talents like Jager Soss and Scott Reill—vocalist-musicians who toured nationally for 8 years with Big Shrimp (formerly Baked Shrimp). Guitarist Darian Cunning, a revered Connecticut-based multi-instrumentalist, joins alongside Mike Piercey of Drop Party and Party with Friends. Bassist Miles Livolsi brings the groove from the internationally touring band Cool Cool Cool. Rotating contributors include Matt Spencer, Henry Thomas (Residual Groove, Big Shrimp), Sam & Mae from New Brew, and other rising stars from the local scene.
🎤 A Living, Breathing Hub
Matt Kampe & The Hub isn't just a band—it’s a musical ecosystem. At each performance, they invite artists from their travels to join them on stage, constantly evolving their sound and spotlighting local talent. With rotating lead vocalists, instrument swaps, and spontaneous collaborations, every show becomes a celebration of creativity, unity, and the power of musical community.
