IMPORTANT EVENT INFORMATION – Frederick Peak / South Pinnacle
This hike will be a ‘Pinnacles Highlights” Hike & will take in 2 of our favourite points of interest that are possible to visit during a day hike in this area.

Have you ever looked through the Group Pics of our adventures at the Pinnacles, admired the breathtaking views and wished you could have been there to share the experience…Join us on this adventure!
**Access to this area is via private property with permission of relevant landowners
After meeting at the Rupertswood Shop and organising carpooling, we will head off to the starting point and make our way up past the North Terminus and South Terminus with a quick visit to the Hidden Pinnacles.
There are various viewpoints on the way to Frederick Peak at for some spectacular views and photographic opportunities as the sun rises over the city.
We will then summit Frederick peak for the BEST VIEWS of the day and PHOTO OPPORTUNITIES that will leave you in awe!
Depending on time, we can either head back to the starting point with a quick visit to the NORTH AND SOUTH TERMINUS, or head over to South Pinnacle.
The ridgelines in this area have been burnt recently which will make for some easier hiking between Fred’s and South Pinnacle, however there is some rocky and scrubby sections so you must be steady on your feet.

The TERRAIN will be undulating and entirely OFF TRAIL.
The event will include ON TRAIL HIKING, OFF TRAIL HIKING, MODERATE/STEEP INCLINES AND DECLINES.
The DISTANCE of this event will be ~15km
The TIME this event will take depends on group dynamics, however we estimate ~7/8 hours at a moderate pace with breaks.
CONDITIONS may change at any time, so you must come prepared for any change in weather/conditions.
The GROUP SIZE of this event will be ~15.

Please BE ON TIME and considerate of your fellow attendees by changing your RSVP if you cannot attend.
Please be open to CARPOOLING to reduce our environmental impact and traffic on the road.
