Join our walk to to discover the story of Surrey’s Thousand Year-Old Trees with author Lucy Reynolds.
This walk takes you for a stroll around Newlands Corner ridge with the best views of the Surrey Hills and to the Ancient Yew trees located nearby, which is one of the oldest groves in Europe. We are excited to tell the story of a brilliant collaboration of Surrey Hills Society, local author, Lucy Reynolds and Katie Hickey, illustrator to create a book entitled ‘The Thousand Year Tree’ that tells the story through time of Surrey’s ancient trees.
We will walk the trails and listen to author Lucy Reynolds talking about the importance of the ancient woodlands. Perhaps even a little verse from the book. This event is not for children, but for adults who care for nature connection and protection of our forests and biodiversity.

The Story of Surrey’s Thousand Year-Old Trees
Womens Wellness walks are tailored to women seeking a supportive environment to unwind, reflect, and prioritize their well-being.
Whilst the walks are themed each month, there is no obligation to join the conversation. It’s simply an opportunity to get expert knowledge and share support with each other.
You’ll find our Women’s Walks are around 3-5 miles and a more relaxed walking pace and will always visit a cafe or place of refreshment.
These walks will be co-hosted by amazing women who are experts in their field of Womens wellness.
