She brings continual learning, generosity, and a mix of philosophical and spiritual insight to her teaching. Whether you’re a complete beginner or returning to dance, Ishra’s classes nurture both skill and confidence.

About Ishra Blanco:

• Multi-disciplinary dancer & choreographer with over 25 years of teaching experience
• Certified in Integrative Somatic Trauma Therapy
• Touring Priestess Dancer
• Pioneer of Belly Dance Fusion in Canada, beginning her journey in 1994
• Classical Piano Certified (Royal Conservatory of Music) & Theatre Acting training (York University)
• Rich influences from Filipino, Polynesian, Arabic, South Asian, Flamenco, House, Dancehall, and Twerk
• Known for compelling performances and warm, inclusive teaching, emphasizing strong technique and movement foundations
• Certified in Sedona Soulfire’s Elemental Alchemy and Kelani Fitness (Polynesian dance fitness)

• Fun choreography that blends traditional and fusion styles

Format:

• Classes are held online and in-person in Guelph
• Open to all levels
• Class recordings are available if you are unable to attend that class
• Each session: 1 hour (warm-up, technique drills, choreography, and cooldown)
