Secrets of Gut-Friendly Fermentation

Discover why sourdough has been enjoyed for centuries and how natural fermentation can make bread easier to digest and healthier for the whole family.

You will leave the workshop with your own live starter culture and full recipe guide, so you can keep making your own delcious bread at home!

Scenic Guided Trail Walk (included bonus activity weather permitting) Explore the brand-new 1.5 km trail! Walk the woods, follow the Humber River, spot wildlife, and reconnect with nature. Michael Duffy will lead our walk and tell you stories about the Homestead along with some foraging insights!

🎃 The Duffy Pumpkin Throne — Snap a fall-inspired photo and make a memory you’ll treasure.

🍯🍁 Farm-to-Table Tastings

Honey harvested just steps away from the Duffy apiary

Maple syrup from the heritage trees on the farm

This isn’t just about bread — it’s about slowing down, reconnecting, and learning the ways of our ancestors in a wholesome, community-centered setting. Meet like-minded people, share stories, and experience the beauty of simple, healthy living.

Homesteading is more than a trend — it’s a movement, and what better place to celebrate it than in one of Caledon’s most historic landmarks, the fully restored Heritage Barn at The Duffy Homestead.
