The Rubbish to Runway Sustainable Fashion Show features local designers who make dresses out of unusual materials such as bread tabs, bicycle tires, and plastic bags to name a few. All the materials are headed to the trash bin if not rescued for a dress or other garment.
Veasey Memorial Park is a 48-acre historic park with recreational activities and venue spaces in Groveland.
The funds raised during the 2025 show will have a significant impact on enhancing arts education and ensuring the sustainability of Veasey Memorial Park. A portion of the proceeds will be allocated to providing no-cost or low-cost community events, as well as developing innovative arts and science programs and workshops that cater to a diverse range of age groups and skill levels, fostering creativity and self-expression within our community.
