Seaside & Seaweed Foraging Class

Join us in Groton, CT for a Seaside & Seaweed Foraging Class. You will learn how to identify and utilize seaside plants, mushrooms, and seaweeds.

This class will be co-taught by CT Foraging Club founder Amy Demers and Saugatuck Oyster Company Founder Hunter Peterson.

The class will consist of a lecture-portion where you will learn how to safely forage CT’s seaweeds and seaside plants and mushrooms. Hunter will also discuss how to collect and cook with invasive shellfish species in CT. We will then go on a walk where we will practice wild plant and mushroom ID. The entire class will be about 1.5 hours long.
