The Bill Memorial Library in the City of Groton will host a K-9 Musical Freestyle program on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, at 11:00 AM to celebrate the conclusion of our summer reading program. K-9 Musical Freestyle is dancing with dogs to music. It is a fun sport for the owners, their dogs and the audience. It is based on basic obedience training, trick training and additional skills. It includes other dimensions such as music, timing, choreography, costuming, routine development and showmanship. Some of the routines also incorporate the use of props. As you will see, dogs of various breeds and ages can enjoy this tail wagging sport.
While this program is open to all, participants in our summer reading program can turn in their reading logs and choose a free book and receive a free cookie coupon from Paul’s Pasta. No registration required; call the library at 860-445-0392 for more information. In the case of inclement weather, please check our Facebook page or call the library for program status.
Library hours are Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, 10:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M.; Wednesday and Friday, 10:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M.; and Saturday, 10:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M.
