Friday July 11th from 5pm to 7pm


Make your own signature scent in this class led by the Nose at Sfumato, Dr. Kevin Peterson!

Learn about the science behind scent, the history of perfumery, and create your own personal fragrance from entirely natural ingredients. Learn, smell, and sip through this hands-on class as you learn the basics of fragrance creation.


Each guest will create a 8mL travel-size bottle of their own custom fragrance to take home.

About the Instructor:

Dr. Peterson's background spans physics, engineering, perfumery, and bar ownership. His new book, Cocktail Theory - A Sensory Approach to Transcendent Drinks, is a detailed look at the theory and philosophy behind the Detroit cocktail bar he co-founded, Castalia, that operates as a perfumery by day, but by night transforms to serve scent-paired drinks.
