🌹 🙏 The public is invited to attend the Fall “Pruning Party” at the American Rose Center. Experienced rosarians will provide hands-on instructions on how to prune roses for a beautiful fall bloom. Watch and learn, or bring your gloves and pruners to participate. Homemade ice cream and watermelon will be served after the pruning session.
A webinar on “Rethinking Late Summer & Fall Rose Health Strategies” will follow the pruning at 11:00 a.m. It will be presented by Dr. Mark Windham, Professor Emeritus of Plant Pathology, University of Tennessee Institute of Agriculture. Dr. Mark Windham will show us the way to encourage a healthy spring garden starts with actions in late summer and fall. Come and learn the secrets to growing beautiful roses all year long.
The American Rose Center Volunteer Corps will be pruning on Friday, August 22, from 8:00 to 12:00 a.m. as well.
