Sam Uzzell, 230 hr. yoga certified teacher, will lead a 4 class series for students who would like to loosen their “tight spots" and strengthen their "weak stuff''. As we age, we tend to move less and sit more, and the old adage of “if you don’t use it, you lose it” really begins to get our attention. We all have these "pieces parts” that may have begun to work less efficiently, or maybe even become painful and stiff that we’d like to improve, and Sam will teach how to identify deficiencies and provide the asanas that will correct them. These classes will provide the perfect antidote to our sedentary lifestyle and will increase awareness of posture and ease of movement. We will explore some basic anatomy, how muscles, ligaments, tendons, and connective tissues work together, and how they may become less efficient as we age or adopt less active lifestyles. Learn how practicing yoga can enhance your ability to become more flexible and add strength to your entire being.
This series is for those looking to increase flexibility and decrease overall discomfort from a sedentary lifestyle, as well as gentle and beginner yogis.
Each session will build on the last, moving focus to various parts of the body while incorporating skills built throughout each session.
This 4 part Time Slot is great for those with injuries that may prevent them from participating in faster style classes and those wanting to experience yoga in a different form."
