DEFEND DUE PROCESS
(Rage Against the Regime)
August 2, 2025
10:00 AM - 12PM
Falls Park, 601 S Main St, Greenville, SC
Join us on Saturday, August 2 at Falls Park to DEFEND DUE PROCESS, because the Constitution doesn’t come with exceptions.
Across the country, and right here in Greenville County, we are witnessing alarming attacks on the foundational rights that protect all people, not just citizens. Our local sheriff has secretly expanded the county’s involvement in the ICE 287(g) program through a new Memorandum of Agreement (MOA), without public input or council approval. This policy gives deputies federal immigration powers, bypasses due process, and threatens families who have lived, worked, and contributed to this community for years.
But the attacks on justice don’t stop there.
South Carolina officials are now entertaining a proposal to build an “Alligator Alcatraz”, a bizarre, wasteful project that symbolizes everything wrong with our state’s priorities, surveillance over service, incarceration over compassion.
This protest is about more than policies, it’s about principles.
It’s about defending the Constitution, the right to due process, and the very idea that justice belongs to everyone.
WHAT WE’RE FIGHTING FOR
• Constitutional due process for every person
• Transparency and accountability in local government
• An end to racial profiling and ICE collaboration in our county
• Rejection of wasteful, authoritarian projects like “Alligator Alcatraz”
This movement is powered by regular people, immigrants, veterans, parents, neighbors, who believe in liberty and justice for all.
Bring your signs, your friends, and your voice.
Because when our rights are on the line, silence is not an option.
*A portal for specific Calls To Action regarding our protest topic will be released prior to the event
