2025 Third Annual Bases and Badges Softball Tournament

The people of Greenfield are fortunate we have had Greenfield Fire Captain John Whitney on the job for many years. When the bell rings, Captain Whitney jumps into action, bringing competence that comes from years of training and experience.

Captain Whitney is now facing his own challenge, that has come in the form of a terrible illness. Now it is our turn, as a community, to support him and his family. To show our unwavering support and appreciation for his dedication to the community he serves.

On September 20th 2025 eight teams comprised of Police, Fire, Sheriffs and the District Attorney’s Office will be competing in the 3rd Annual Bases and Badges Softball Tournament at Murphy Park.

Come join us for a great day in recognition of Captain Whitney. We will have awesome raffles, burgers and dogs for sale, and plenty of entertainment on the softball diamonds.

First pitch is at 9am with games all morning - ending with the Championship game at 1:30pm.
