Auditions for "Nana Does Vegas"

Auditions for Greeneville Theatre Guild’s production of “Nana Does Vegas” will be held on Monday July 14 and Tuesday, July 15 from 6 pm until 9 pm. Callbacks, if necessary, will be Wednesday, July 16 from 6 pm to 9 pm. First read through will be on Monday July 21st at 6:30 pm.

Auditions will be a blind open read. There is no need to prepare any pieces beforehand. Please wear comfortable clothing.

Show dates are September 19, 20 and 21 and September 26, 27 & 28. The show will be performed at the Capitol Theatre in Greeneville TN.

Note from the director, Laura Dupler: “Let’s have fun with the audition process and this show! Please do not let the age of the characters keep you from auditioning. As I have told others in the past, if you believe you have this character in you, then please, AUDITION! One of the beautiful things about theatre is that we get to take a break from the real world, have fun and play at being someone completely different for a while.”

We will be casting the following roles:

Joan / Joe (30s – 60s) Joan/Joe is Tom’s O’Grady’s boss at the FBI. The only reason Tom was hired is because he’s about to marry the granddaughter of the woman who is dating the Casino owner, who is allegedly connected to the mob. Joan/Joe is planning on using Tom’s connections to get dirt on the Mastropietro crime family.

Dino Marino (70s – 80s) Dino runs the casino. He’s madly in love with Sylvia (Nana) and very worried about the fact that someone might be skimming from the casino profits. His neck is on the line with the Big Boss (if you know what that means), and he’s gotta get to the bottom of it. Fast.

Gia Mastropietro (20s – 40s) Granddaughter of famed (alleged) crime boss, Paulie Mastropietro. She’s been sent to El Tropical Casino to figure out why the numbers are down, and decide whose head is going to roll because of it.

Bellboy (18+) The Bellboy knows exactly what is up and keeps his mouth shut because the tips are pretty great.

Frank (50s – 80s) A high roller at the Casino.

4 actors are also needed for the following:
