Southern Thunder

Maryville, Tennessee – The next event at Smoky Mountain Speedway will take place on Saturday, August 16 when the Southern Thunder Super Dirt Series stops by for a $5,000 to win race. Alabama’s Dalton Cook leads the series point standings with Trey Mills Beckham Malone, and Zack Mitchell in the hunt for the series title. Many drivers from across the region are expected for this super late model event.

Also racing on August 16 will be sportsman late models, street stocks, and front wheel drive. There will be a Juice Box race for kids 2-8 during intermission.

Pit gates and tier parking gates will open at 3:00, grandstand gates will open at 4:00. The driver’s meeting is scheduled for 6:30 followed by hot laps and racing at 7:00.

General admission tickets are $25 for adults. Pit passes and tier parking passes are $35 for adults. Kids 11 and under are $5 everywhere. There are no reserved tickets for this event.
