The Gardeners Club of Green Bay: Tour Lee Hansen’s Gardens

Lee, our local “Plant Doctor”, is well known for roses. Recently, a climbing rose was named in honor of Louise Hansen, wife of Lee, who was active in the Green Bay horticultural community and a member of the Northeast Wisconsin Rose Society.

Lee tends to roses in a sunny front yard. The backyard features conifers, hostas, and a wildlife area. The Hansens received our club’s Silver Trowel Award in 2013 for their beautiful gardens, and Lee was awarded the Silver Trowel Individual Award in 1986.
