Join us on what would have been Steven Wahlen’s 66th birthday to honor the life, legacy, and soundscape of T.S. Whalen—a visionary artist, noise pioneer, and fiercely original mind who left an indelible mark on Wisconsin’s music and performance scenes.


We’ll open with a tribute gathering among friends, followed by the installation of a permanent memorial at the GBUFO Museum—where Steven’s life and work will be remembered through artifacts, sound, and stories.


Then, as the night heats up, four bands will take the stage in a style Steve would’ve appreciated—raw, loud, and unapologetic:

Expect food, stories, a newly released recording, maybe a few surprises—and a space to laugh, rock, and remember. Whether you knew Steve from Boy Dirt Car or Monkey Bar, Trash Fest or the city bus, you’re welcome here.
