About the event
Planning & Planting a Rain Garden
Learn the whys and hows of planning, installing, and maintaining these vital native plantings designed to soak up rainwater and reduce the problems of runoff. Presenter Chris Bory will recommend native plants suited for rain gardens in our region and share related resources.
Chris Bory holds a Technical Diploma in Horticulture through the Wisconsin Technical College System and has professional landscaping experience installing rain gardens. He is currently an Environmental Policy and Planning major at the University of Wisconsin Green Bay and has completed internships with the Green Bay Botanical Garden and the UWGB Natural and Applied Sciences Heirloom Plant Sale.
This event is organized as a collaboration of Brown County Seed Library partner organizations. While you are at the Central Library, pick up seeds from the Brown County Seed Library and check out the library's Children's Edible Garden.
