Loveland Opera Theatre is dedicated to creating beautiful and accessible musical arts events for the community to enjoy. So, naturally, we decided to take our artistic talents to the Greeley Arts Picnic! Join us at our FREE concert—The Alps Meet the Rockies: Summer Festspiele!
The Alps Meet the Rockies will feature traditional German and Austrian art song, opera, and operetta scenes. It will also give the audience a “sneak peek” into the music of our mainstage production this season, The Sound of Music, featuring music by Richard Rodgers and lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein.
Dedicated to showcasing the talent of Colorado, The Alps Meet the Rockies will showcase wonderful Colorado singers: Elizabeth Mirandi, Bella Mallow, Randy Parker, Kacie Kenton, Maureen Bailey, Zach Walz, Rebecca Morris, Andrew Schroeder, and Lauren Bumgarner. Their beautiful and powerful voices will be accompanied by pianist Rachel Carlson.
This FREE family-friendly public performance is on Saturday, July 26, 2025, from 3 to 4 pm.
Attendees of The Greeley Arts Picnic can drop by on their way between other activities, or audience members can bring a blanket or chairs and stay for the entire concert at Lincoln Park (800 Tenth Ave, Greeley, CO 80631).
