Perform Week: Rob Roy Highland Dancers

Join us for a demonstration by the Rob Roy Highland Dancers. This energetic and lively dance will have everyone at the edge of their seats!

Presenter Bio:
The Rob Roy Pipe Band and Highland Dancers of Kingston, Ontario, Canada is a strong community organization with a long history of offering instruction in piping, drumming and dancing.

The pipe band was established in 1953 with the dancers forming in 1962. As one of only a few permanently integrated band and dancer groups, Rob Roy performs in many engagements (parades, community events, competitions) a year throughout Canada, the United States, and Scotland.

While in Scotland, the band and dancers have performed at the Palace of Holyroodhouse, Blair Atholl Castle, Prince’s Street Gardens in Edinburgh, the Rob Roy Visitor Centre in Callander, and are one of the only bands that have been permitted to play inside the walls of Stirling Castle.

Rob Roy currently teaches lessons in Piping, Drumming and Highland Dancing in Kingston, ON. We are looking forward to having a group of our dancers perform at the Museum of Lennox and Addington!
