FLO Presents: Workshop Invitation: Play-Based Therapy for Families & Caregivers (In Person Workshop)

Join us for a hands-on, family-friendly workshop designed to introduce the power of Play-Based Therapy in supporting children with disabilities. Whether you're a parent, grandparent, sibling, aunt, uncle, babysitter—or simply someone who loves a child with unique needs—this workshop will give you practical tools to connect, support development, and have fun through purposeful play.

Together, we’ll explore:

Why play matters in pediatric development 🧸 Therapeutic Goals of Play – motor skills, sensory integration, emotional regulation 🛝 Types of Play – from obstacle courses to imaginative storytelling 🧠 Adapting Play – how to tailor toys and activities to your child’s needs 💞 Engaging Children – tips to follow their lead, read their cues, and build participation 🏡 Supporting at Home – ideas for creating routines and using play as therapy 📝 Setting Goals & Tracking Progress ✋ Healthy Boundaries – understanding what play can and can’t do

Rania and Meg will also share some of their favorite therapy toys and demonstrate fun, easy-to-implement activities you can try at home. This is a wonderful opportunity to learn, connect, and play—together.
