Table of the King Gala

What is the Table of the King Gala? The Table of the King is a symbol of family community and faithful presence. It is a symbol of our deep desire to be known and loved. God sets a table for us and joins us around it. As a young woman foundress of the Sisters of Providence Sister Émilie Tavernier Gamelin was committed to serving the poor and the vulnerable. She opened her home to provide meals for those in need and called it “Table of the King”. 

The University of Providence is built upon a strong foundation of courage resolve and principle. Today the university continues to honor the sisters' visionary legacy by offering an education that goes beyond the classroom fostering growth in character and purpose. Your support is vital to the continued success of our institution. 

This year at the Table of the King Gala the University of Providence will work together with our community and sponsors to raise funds for our RiseUP University Fund. Contributing to the RiseUP University Fund the University’s unrestricted gift fund is a meaningful way to provide essential resources for student success. Each quarter the University’s President directs the distribution of donations to areas of greatest need. Your gift could help a first-generation student pursue their college education fund facility improvements support campus growth and reinforce our shared values of humility simplicity and charity. Every contribution no matter the size plays a vital role in creating impactful opportunities for UP students.
