Nevada County Arts Council is offering the creative community another unparalleled opportunity for professional development in the form of its fourth annual all-day symposium The Business of Art.
Marketing and media workshops business planning tax advice for artists partnerships legal advice community building sessions special interest sessions and mentoring are offered at this multi-partner event with expert speakers panelists and workshop leaders selected from across California.

Attendees can expect diverse opportunities at this day long symposium. Designed through a multidisciplinary lense The Business of Art is a chance to learn from the creative industries top leaders and innovators across a variety of arts fields.
This year's keynote Danielle Brazell Executive Director at California Arts Council sets the stage for the day. Since her appointment in 2023 Brazell has led California’s state agency for the arts with vision and a deep commitment to positioning the arts as vital civic infrastrucutre—driving equity belonging health and economic opportunity state‑wide.
Additional workshop and session leaders include San Francisco based artist Kevin Byrd; Allison Wyper from Rhizomatic Arts; and Yvonne Fange with a presentation on the intersection of Art Technology and AI.
Attendees will leave the day feeling connected informed and inspired. Free for students scholarship opportunities available!
