George is a guitar master, well known in the music scene of Northern California. He performs flamenco, jazz, blues, and music from all eras and genres.
In the 1970s, George was musical Director for the Vibrations. He toured with Sam and Dave and the Average White Band, playing the R&B circuit, including the Apollo, uptown, and Howard theaters. He recorded on A.M. Records with Jeffrey Osborne & L.T.D.
in the 1980s, George was house guitarist at Harrah’s in Reno and Lake Tahoe, playing with Sammy Davis Jr, Nancy Wilson, Bernadette Peters, Frank Sinatra, and many others.
His band, George Souza and the Funk Brothers, has been together since 1987. George's last CD, “Another Night," is a mixture of songs from his years of performing.
Most recently, George plays at many of the best restaurants and nightclubs in Northern California and Nevada, including a performance with Paul McCartney at Moody‘s in Truckee.

Pub has free parking. More parking is at corner of Mill & McCourtney, a 2-minute walk. Across from the Pub, French Ave has parking. Carpooling is encouraged - our neighbors appreciate it!
