Together for 16 years, with two albums and nearly 800 concerts to its credit, Beaucoup Chapeaux is:
Maggie McKaig on accordion and vocals;
Luke Wilson on tenor guitar, plectrum banjo, vocals;
Murray Campbell, violin, oboes, vocals; and
Randy McKean, clarinets and vocals.
Playing an eclectic melange of French chansons, Italian tarantellas, Balkan folk tunes, Hot Club jazz, originals, and more, Beaucoup Chapeaux enchants audiences everywhere. As to their name, Beaucoup Chapeaux (bad French for “many hats”), it refers not to hats at all, but to their wide-ranging music and musical backgrounds.
But at its simplest, the very roots of Beaucoup Chapeaux are about creating joy, or as the French say, the joie de vivre—the joy of life - that which makes life worth living, that gives one a reason to keep going. That’s what the band feels their audiences and the world needs, so that’s what they do.
Sliding scale tickets are *$20-35 per person. Tickets *start at $20 for this event, *but, if you can, consider adding a few bucks to your ticket purchase. This helps us to feed and pay the band more, and helps us cover costs for bringing a rich diversity of cultural events to our community. xo

PARKING: Pub has free parking. More parking is nearby at the corner of Mill & McCourtney, a 2-minute walk. Across from Pub, French Ave has parking. Carpooling is encouraged - our neighbors appreciate it.
DOGS: We love animals, but please do not bring them to Pub's busy creekside events without talking to staff in advance.
