Querciabella translated is Beautiful Oak "They say that from small acorns grow mighty oaks. So is the story of Querciabella." Located in Chianti Classico yes that is a designated sub region considered as the heart of Chianti and all wines produced must be from grapes grown within the Classico borders that stretch across 14 villages from Siena to Florence. Winemaking rules are stricter and regulations enforced more to protect the DOCG status & quality it implies.
Giorgio is Querciabella's Export Director and is looking forward to working directly with the wine buying guests throughout the region as he introduces the line and the Castiglioni family that have nurtured their father's acorn over 50 years building its reputation for innovation and concern for the health of their land vineyards family & community as they strive to produce beautiful wines.
