IMPORTANT NOTE: We do not assist people in filing for RECA. We encourage people to use the official New Mexico state clinics for assistance that will be available soon. You can find free screening information here:
https://www.hrsa.gov/rural-health/grants/radiation-exposure
Once you are approved for RECA compensation, you could also qualify for the EEOICPA White Card Program which provides the following benefits:
• Get additional compensation up to $400,000 tax-free
• Get FREE home healthcare for life for covered conditions
• There is no cost to you, this is an additional DOL program
RECA won't cover the medical costs for your lung or kidney disease, it's a lump sum payment. The EEOICPA White Card Program could cover those costs because it provides free home healthcare services for life to those who qualify. We can help guide you through that process.
We know there are organizations who are trying to scam newly eligible uranium workers by offering to help them file for RECA, but we are not doing that. The EEOICPA White Card Program is a separate Department of Labor benefit that can provide life-saving healthcare and you should be aware of it. Join us for breakfast and let's talk about it.
